The climb was long and hard as the first rays of light started to brighten the sky. Archen, Caain, and Forge were breathless and tired as they reached the summit. Resting for several hours they woke with the sun high in the sky. Looking to the north a somber sight met their gaze. A valley large with thick churning fog gave rise to the eerie sinking feeling in Archens' gut. It was grey, like a blanket dropped over the ancient city. Barely visible near the center of the fog could be seen skeletal fingers clutching at the sky. "It must be the tree." Forge rasped after a low whistle.
